Saw Barbed Wire for Kisses tonight at Burton Brewhouse. Superb. Such a good idea and obviously well researched and also felt deeply. There were many things that stood out – the bit about Billy leaning on the old pump, grinning – for some reason made an impression on me. Who knows why but…the writing and peformance made it easy to imagine the scenes. I loved the mix of the show and the music (played so well) – just the way it all flowed – clearly carefully thought out. And that song about David… so sad :-( The whole thing, so sad :-( I really hope the other peformances go well. Thank you. I would be definately interested in the recording. Could you pass on my thanks to the others?

    Hi Corrina,
Thanks for the message. I read it out to the boys over a dram of whisky last night after the gig, and we were all so delighted by your appreciative words. I’m particularly pleased that the images have stayed with you. The Great War remains such a significant part of our history and it’s impact never fails to move us even now, a hundred years on.

Thank you so very much for your comments! We are absolutely delighted you were so moved by the piece. It’s been a great pleasure to bring the show to Lincolnshire. I’ve passed your compliments on to the boys and they’re mighty chuffed.
